Shiny new iMac ∞
Ignoring the recent news about apple switching to intel processors, I decided to make the switch. So I’ve gone from the world of the grey PC with Windows 2k — to having a shiny new iMac G5 sitting on my desk.
To be fair, the Windows computer is still there, and I will still use it… it has my TV on it, and if I need to use MS Office for some reason, then that is still there too.
I like OS X. I didn’t and don’t hate Windows; but OS X just looks so much fresher and sharper, without looking cheap or gaudy. This possibly has something to do with the extra desktop real estate I have, but I’m sure it’s more to with the operating system, and the carefull thought that has gone into it.
Exposé is fun! <F9> wheeeeeeeeee — but it does work rather well once you get used to it.
The other thing that takes a bit of getting used to is the keyboard layout, most notably @ and “ are switched from the UK windows layout, and some other symbols are in slightly different places — but I am sure I will cope.
I’m also sure I will post more on this topic later… but until then <F9> <F9> <F9>
