Probably only interesting to me

Concrete Canvas.

Concrete Canvas is a fascinating concept in engineering, a self contained, self deploying temporary structure that can last for up to 10 years.

As far as I can see from the website, it is basically a fabric tent coated in concrete powder, with a plastic lining. To deploy, water is introduced to the bag, which starts the concrete curing; air is used to inflate the plastic lined structure and hold it up until the concrete cures; when the door openings can be cut out of the plastic.

I hope this succeeds in becoming an essential tool for disaster relief, as it could potentially make a huge difference.
